Spark Maps

These maps are original Spark maps. They are not derivatives of any other maps, and were either not widely played on ARC, or were created after support for ARC was officially discontinued in mid-2007. To submit a map to this section, enclose your .map file in a .zip archive and mail it to ma...@spark-realm.net with the subject line in this format: (map name - author - creation date), i.e. Cold - Reaper Charlie - 6/4/2008. The best maps we receive will be displayed below for others to download!

Deadlock (r3m3mBrandt)

An 8-16 player map with two flags. This is the War for Eden. The central area is treacherous, but a mindful team with a solid strategy will break the deadlock, secure the flags, and defeat the enemy. Download

Cold (Reaper Charlie)

A desolate 8-16 player map with three flags. This frozen wasteland is a grim battlefield, but is a necessary outpost to gain if your faction is ever to profit from Spark's treasure and emerge victorious. Download

Quimby (Reaper Charlie)

A fun 16-24 player map with four neutral flags and four colored flags. Victory will not come easily. This map takes a previously unprecedented amount of teamwork to prevail in the face of your enemies. Download

Techwars (Reaper Charlie)

A hectic 16-24 player map with four neutral flags. Destroy the weapons factories of your enemies and protect your own! Be careful, if your technology is stolen, the Spark Wars will be lost! Download

Conflict (Reaper Charlie)

An 8-12 player map with two colored flags. Claim the riches of the planet for your faction. Perilously traverse Spark's rough terrain and brutally destroy all opposition. Download

A 12-20 player map with four neutral flags. Use the conveyer belts to your advantage, or go around back, and steal your enemies' flags before they know what hit them. Download

ARC Maps

Back on ARC, Sierra ran dedicated servers with names such as 'Sierra West Alpha' and 'Sierra East Charlie' that hosted the same map 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To create your own custom game server with your choice of map, weapon damage, recharge rate, player maximum, etc. required a separate program, and knowledge of the procedures required to operate it. In Spark, things are much different in that you can now just click 'Create Game', adjust your custom parameters, and you're all set! However, if you've been yearning for the old maps that were played on ARC, some are listed here for your downloading pleasure.

Golden Oldie (Sierra)

An 8-12 player map, Golden Oldie (GO) has always been the preferred map for most leagues. Many iterations have been created, this is the version used in the 1999 APL. Download

Madwars (Sierra)

A 16-20 player map, this original warzone was built to accommodate large conflicts and multiple styles of gameplay. Enjoy complete mayhem on this classic battlefield. Download

Basewarz (schtooped)

A 12-24 player map with four neutral flags, with the beginning of the game involving a suicide flag rush, this is one of the most popular and well-crafted maps to date. Download

Smear da Queer

A 12-24 player map, this little giant is one of the most-played maps in the history of ARC. Its strength is in its simplicity and unrelenting production of rampant chaos. Download

Canada vs. United States

An duplicitous 8-20 player warzone with two colored flags per team. And so the war between the greatest nations on the North American continent continues... Download

Castlewars (FUF and Jetflee)

A 12-20 player map with four neutral flags. Use the conveyer belts to your advantage, or go around back, and steal your enemies' flags before they know what hit them. Download

Battleground (Sierra)

An epic 8-16 player battleground on which turf many tournaments have been held, even to this very day; this classic map is truly a universe from the good old days! Download

Soccer (Tadija and Ragnar)

An 8-24 player map modeled after a soccer field. The objective of this game is simple: carry the flag into the enemy base; but new strategies must be adopted to succeed. Download

4c2k2 (-[Quake]- and Zer0)

An 8-24 player map with four neutral flags. Tightly interwoven, this remix of 4corners is constantly fraught with danger. Use a delicate balance of caution and boldness. Download

Canadian Bacon (flip)

A 12-24 player map with two colored flags. Riddled with chokepoints, this map is a disaster for blind rushers, but a gold mine for players with patience and steady aim. Download
